This GMT-Master II watch ref.116710LN has been custom diamond-set with G/H colour VS-SI round brilliant-cut diamonds on the shoulders.
The Rolex GMT-II master was launched in 1982, heir to the original GMT-Master (1955) and came with a new movement to ensure ease of use. Originally this watch was developed as a navigation instrument for world traveller’s due its ability to show the time in two different time zones simultaneously; however, its robustness and instantly recognisable aesthetic has attracted a much wider audience.
This particular model is a self-winding automatic watch and features a 40mm Oystersteel case, Oyster bracelet and folding buckle. The dial is Black with luminescent hands, markers and green GMT hand.

The art of diamond setting
Diamond-set watches are among the most expensive in the world, whether fully encrusted with diamonds or simply subtle, they are the ultimate status symbol with craftsmanship to admire.

WHAT ARE personalized watches?
Gemset watches are the perfect blend of assertive art and traditional watchmaking.
Factory setting refers to stones, such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds and other precious stones, that have been applied directly by watchmaking technicians, without any third-party intervention.
Customized or afterset watches have seen these stones applied outside the manufacturers, in our case in-house by our expert diamond setters.

how is the process?
It's the extraordinary skill of our diamond setters that ensures each stone is perfectly placed and securely housed in the finely carved precious metal.
The precise alignment, orientation and regularity of the stone and the intricate finish of the ironwork create a sparkling masterpiece.
Under no circumstances will we use glue or any similar substance to set the stones - each seat is carefully hand-carved in metal.
UNDERSTAND
Diamond quality
We use only certified diamonds, our standard being G color (light white) VS/SI in clarity. However, it is possible, if required by the customer, to request a higher color and/or clarity of these stones. On most of our original watches, we use the color and clarity indicated above, as we believe they offer the perfect balance between quality and affordability. We also sell a small collection of higher value pieces in which we use VVS clarity diamonds.

Customized watches offer our customers the opportunity to create a bespoke piece entirely tailored to their specific style and taste, offering designs that may not currently be offered by the manufacturer. We offer a wide range of customization options, from fully diamond-encrusted watches to more subtle modifications such as adding a diamond/gemstone bezel or setting stones on the dial, bracelet, case or shoulders.

Customize your own watch?
Perhaps you have a watch in your collection that could use a face-lift, or you'd like to create your own customization with the diamonds and gemstones of your choice. Visit our customization page for prices and detailed information.
